First settlers around these parts were around in about 1880 - Scottish. A pretty isolated spot and somewhat different from the morden Queenstown....
Sailing up to a farm (what this old boat used to do before roads) - Lovely bay on the lake. Would be great here in the summer to kayak and trout fish.
Serving cream teas!
A trip on Lake Waikatipu on the TSS Earnslaw - one of the few coal fired ships left...all very exciting!
A family portrait with the Remarkables as a backdrop in our Queenstown bach.

Winter in Queenstown - is it always as good as this?
and of course lunch at the local winery today...Amisfield Winery. Fab place on a fab blue sky day.
Nice sky - note the boat off on an evening cruise up the river.
Early evening and loking across the bach to the lake. Please note Jenny changing a nappy in the house!
Just another for luck...
Moon rising above the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. It took me a while to get this shot just right. But it was worth it. The sceanary in NZ can often seem almost unreal. Certainly the view from this bach is just incredible.
