First settlers around these parts were around in about 1880 - Scottish. A pretty isolated spot and somewhat different from the morden Queenstown....

Sailing up to a farm (what this old boat used to do before roads) - Lovely bay on the lake. Would be great here in the summer to kayak and trout fish.

Moon rising above the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu. It took me a while to get this shot just right. But it was worth it. The sceanary in NZ can often seem almost unreal. Certainly the view from this bach is just incredible.
