Land Rover in classic New Zealand setting. Even a Border Collie in the back!

Landie still going strong, touch wood and anything else to hand. Occasional fix required that involves screwdriver and hammer.

Off roading a bit of a problem...if things become violent random wires are displaced and the batteries drain...yes it had to have two batteries.

Real motoring! tax disc in NZ only costs about 40 quid for 6 months.  Insurance was 50 quid and not complusary! Mmmmm!

Jenny's Birthday on the 16th March. Taken for an evening cruise around Waiheke and a 3 course gourmet dinner (of course). Our Captain and cook Andy Rhodes a great sailor and even better cook (Father a famous sailor who sailed from the Lake District to New Zealand in his early twenties single handed) As always fantastic views and a great evening.  More pictures to follow...

We are currently living in another part of Waiheke. Our original house is being re-decorated and re-carpeted with a number of other improvements. The Landlords saw the light eventually!  In Queens Drive just down the road we have another great view from our temporary place so not complaining too much at the moment.

Went to the Auckland Boatshow to choose my next mode of transport. Great show and in the prime area of Auckland around the Viaduct.

The EarthEco Boat stopped in Waiheke. The fastest powerboat around the world. Its a wave piercing trimaran - actually going through the waves and tested in 50 knot winds and 12 m waves...the canopy is sometimes fully sunmerged in the water! It will be at the Auckland boatshow which is next weekend.
Its run on bio-diesal and has a zero carbo footprint.
