Oneroa beach last weekend. Yet another bloody dog walk. But hard to resist the beach
when its like this. Its not Bogner! or should I say Southsea (Kevin!)
Still eating breakfast outside. Last weekend was glorious weather. A lot cooler but still warm enough.

Finally moored up alongside the Spirit of New Zealand in the dock.
Sailing as crew on a 100 year old yacht called Thelma. Crew always required and little experience required as it was quickly gained. From chatting at a local beach party managed to get invited to crew on this boat in the Classic Yacht Winter series. The skipper is a chap called Tony Blake. A famous marine artist and brother of the even more famous sailor the late Sir Peter Blake. Day was actually mostly blue sky and hot with reasonable wind. Our certain victory only scuppered by he fact that the top sail fell off...I'm sure a more technical term was used at the time.. However we where buggered in terms of speed and cruised elegantly to the finish line.
Basil becoming a moaning Kiwi and feeling the cold in New Zealand.

ok just one more...
Sunrise at the Burns-Kiely house. Unfortunately we had to go to work on what turned out to be a lovely day.
Right I must stop talking about the weather and the bloody views.

Beauty and the Beast. The car finally arrives at our house 5 weeks after arriving in New Zealand. Good advice...never try to import a car to NZ. The process is a complete nonsense and will drive you mad as well as cost money. However nice to have a car that Jenny can drive and doesn't leak too much....
but not raining for long...excellent week - apart from raining on a Saturday!
Its rains on Waiheke - noone told us this! we want to come home immediately!
